Step by Step: Get That Party Started

Alright, so summer 2008 is only weeks away, and before you pick up (the three P's) your inner Party Planner Personality there are a few things you MUST know prior to throwing your part, as well as during the event.

1) First things first, please Do Not invite a larger number of people than your place can actually hold. This is a bad idea because when it is over crowded people break things, steal, guest become uncomfortable, leading to a higher possibility of conflict because of your uncomfortable guest. I'd say no more then 1 person per 15 sq feet, find out your room size here.

2) The second must should already be known but if it is not, make sure all of your party supplies like glow sticks, cups, and any other "nick knacks" you want at your event are purchased in bulk from Windy City Novelties inc. If you get it from anywhere else your party will suck, trust me.
Here check it out:

3) Simply just make sure the Music Is Good!! this means ABSOLUTELY no YMCA, Macho Macho Man, Soulja Boy, Cotton Eyed Joe, and PLEASE try to keep the Electric slide to a minimum, one time is enough.

Suggested Artist: R-Side, Justin Timberlake, T Pain, Nelly Furtado, Timbaland, Chris Brown.

4) If your event is open bar make sure you have enough drinks to last you through the night and the following day, if not you will have a whole bunch of angry guest. To make sure you have enough see Tip 1.

5) Keep your Guest Entertained, have multiple things going on so everyone is satisfied. Have some sort of sports game on TV, Dancing, Card Games, Drinking Games etc. If they are still bored give then a glow stick or something to play with, and if they don't like that, kick em' out because at that point they are just taking up space. Again see tip 1 for more info on space and its value. If you follow these Five Tips your event will be H O T and will continue to be talked about at least until the weekend is over. So listen to me be smart and you will be Happy.

Good Luck

To give credit to where its due, this came from the blog: http://david-howtothrowagoodparty.blogspot.com . Hopefully there will be more posts from this guy, otherwise it was a good one off piece.
